HARRY POTTER!
Well since I have been doing book reviews every Thursday I figured, I ought to do a review of my favorite piece of literature of all time : Harry Potter. I’d have pictures of the books of the series but my computer is really mucking up today so I think I’ll just let the computer work in peace.
The Harry Potter series is written by J.K. Rowling, a now, very popular British author. It has become a pop sensation over the past couple of years. The last book was released last summer to the dismay of the readers. Upon the series release readers would stand outside book shops at midnight waiting to get their hands on a fresh copy. Now movies are being made based off of the series, a sixth movie is coming out soon.
Now here is my independent reviews on each book of the series:
1. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone
The book that started it all! This book appears rather childish due to the cover and certain texts within the first couple chapters. It is very imaginative and fulfilling. The characters are real and lively, the magic is believable and the settings are…… astounding. The majority of the novel takes place in Hogwarts a School of Withcraft and Wizardry, the wizarding school for children ages 11-17. The main character is Harry Potter, an orphan living with his vicious aunt and uncle. Who are in fact muggles(non wizard folks) Harry’s parents were killed by the late Lord Voldemort whoops err… HE-WHO-MUST-NOT-BE-NAMED. This book is a 10 out of 10.
2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
An amazing sequel following the adventures of the first book. In the beginning a house elf Dobby warns Harry of danger at Hogwarts. Not listening, he goes to Hogwarts and undergoes tons of fatal adventures. With several new intriguing characters, such as Professor Lockhart, the witty, close minded, self loving oaf, who seems all he wants to teach are adventures of himself. The Chamber of Secrets has been opened and Harry Potter and the gang must find out who really opened it and close it before anyone else is hurt. This is amazing and heart pounding at times. This novel actually has bits of horror in it, well compared to young readers views, but still rather frightening in certain scenes. That makes me love it more, great sequel. This book is a 10 out of 10
3. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
A dangerous murderer Sirius Black has escaped out of the wizarding prison Azkaban. The same Sirius Black who murdered twelve muggles with one curse and who worked for the Dark Lord. This novel brings the story in a new direction and is action packed. The characters have aged and it shows perfectly. They begin to have feelings for others and the typical teenage mindset occurs. This novel has plot twists left and right that leaves the readers mouth gaping. All in all I loved it. This book is a 10 out of 10.
4. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
The Triwizard tournament, a tournament that occurs once every thousand or so years only fit for students in their seventh year. One student from Hogwarts, Durmstrang and Beuxbatons may attend. Well then how can Harry Potter a fourth year get in? The cup has decided with a little help. The Dark Lord is back. This novel is action packed to the point of gut wrenching entertainment. A serious page turner with the elegance and soft spokeness of the first three novels. This is the first novel that introduces death as a concept. This book is a 10 out of 10.
5. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
The Order of the Phoenix is a small army of wizards who fight for peace against the darkness of The Death Eaters; the foul gang of murderers led by Voldemort himself. War can be seen over the horizon and nerves are at the edge. This novel is just down right amazing. From the first scene to the last you will be mystified, I know I was. The characters are older now and it is clear. The theme is darker, it is no longer a bit of a game, this magic, murder is possible. This book is a 10 out of 10.
6. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
It seems that in order to defeat an enemy in which holds you equal, you must know his past, present and future. Harry Potter must investigate the dark lords past to discover his own future. The prophecy lingers over the upcoming battle. Neither shall live while the other survives. . This novel takes the series in an entirely new direction. Very dark and gloomy with still some quirky, happy fun. Yet the dark outweighs it a bit. Harry Potter knows he must find the horcruxes that Voldemort hid pieces of himself in, to truly save his friends and himself.
7.Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow
This book is spectacular. The two sides are now in open war fare, and death occurs across the board. Harry Potter must leave his home, his school, to over come the demons inside himself, and to vanquish the darkness that is Lord Voldemort. His friends stick by him and they must find the Horcruxes and then go after Voldemort. The ultimate sacrifice must be made. I loved this book but in my opinion the ending could of been a whole lot better, I thought it was boring and left a bit too much unanswered. This book is a 9 out of 10.
Thanks for Reading,

Because of my own reasons, it was difficult for me to read this due to my dislike of Harry Potter, doubtless of reading the first four books. However, I thought you did a nice job in describing why you liked each bit and explain what you disliked.
Pretty cool minus the Harry Potter.

Damian - Hi there - I am double your age - Plus a couple more years - But even in my age - I find that the Harry Potter movies are made fantastically - my ten yr old son has read all seven parts - knows them by heart and I am planning to buy him the whole set now - on his birthday - in hard bound cover.
You are a very talented writer - try to write about things that happen in your daily life - things that inspire you - sort of a diary - that will help you to organise your thoughts more - Hoping to see you printed one day
Regards and good wishes!
